Our efforts also extend to the development of a refined system for the proximity forecasting of meteorological elements, offering crucial operational support for significant events.




Climate Change:


We proudly back the region's first independently developed earth system model, a groundbreaking contribution to the International Coupled Model Comparison Program (CMIP6). This initiative plays a pivotal role in the fifth assessment report (AR5) of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), underlining our commitment to addressing climate change. By conducting advanced climate disaster predictions, we provide invaluable scientific and technological support to regions, aiding in their resilience and preparedness strategies.

Computing Earth:

Our initiative focuses on utilizing cutting-edge computational methods to delve into various aspects of Earth Sciences, ranging from seismic simulation and analysis to the study of marine environmental engineering. Seismic simulation and seismic analysis:

Leveraging the capabilities of the "Large-Scale Seismic Engineering Simulation Research Facility," we are establishing a seismic high-performance computing simulation platform. This platform is designed to enhance our understanding and prediction of seismic activities, contributing significantly to disaster preparedness.


Research on the evolution of the earth's interior:

Our research endeavors to uncover the mysteries of the Earth's mantle, focusing on the formation and evolution of large-scale low-speed bodies. This investigation is crucial for comprehending the dynamic processes that shape our planet's interior over geological timescales.


Numerical prediction of tidal current and sediment:

We are developing a comprehensive three-dimensional numerical simulation system that integrates atmospheric dynamics, waves, tidal currents, and runoff. This system is instrumental in providing robust support for project decision-making and practical applications, particularly in coastal and marine environments.


Marine environmental engineering:

Our support extends to the development of marine reanalysis products, offering high-precision dynamic background fields for marine science, climate change research, disaster prevention, and environmental conservation efforts. This initiative aims to enhance our understanding and management of marine environments, fostering a sustainable relationship with our planet’s oceans.
